I am interested in making some fondant to feed a couple of my nucs (and avoid robbing, as I have heard). I have seen a video in: http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q...&mid=D1A62CD577924EE46A83D1A62CD577924EE46A83 which uses glucose syrup in the UK. Is glucose syrup just corn syrup? Some people are against feeding corn syrup to the bees. Is there another version for glucose syrup? Thanks a lot, Stavros

Glucose syrup is not the same as corn syrup. The concern that you here voiced about corn syrup relates to HFCS (High Fructose Corn Syrup). Fructose and glucose are two different sugars.
BTW, when glucose and fructose are combined chemically they make the sugar sucrose. Invertase, an enzyme produced by bees, will break sucrose down into its components: glucose and fructose.
