Glucose syrup is not the same as corn syrup. The concern that you here voiced about corn syrup relates to HFCS (High Fructose Corn Syrup). Fructose and glucose are two different sugars.

BTW, when glucose and fructose are combined chemically they make the sugar sucrose. Invertase, an enzyme produced by bees, will break sucrose down into its components: glucose and fructose.
