I have to ask; has anyone tried this product? It looks like it would work like a charm. They seem to be fairly new on the market and I'm wondering if anyone on here has used the entrance traps before and what kind of results you have had.

Yes I bought one of these to try. Waste of money, I never saw 1 SHB in the trap but the reservoir did fill with water if rained a lot, then it would go rancid.

I have 2 on a couple of my hives. They do catch some beetles, but not all. I used them on a couple of new nucs, and the entrance did not confuse the bees at all, it may on a established hive. The problems are, 1 leaks some if it rains pretty heavy and they reduce the entrance. I have had them on my hives since spring and so far have decided to leave them on because they are catching a lot of beetles and do not seem to bother the bees. I also have 1 of their screen bottom boards which I really like, it has a built in trap in the back. I also like their feed easy top hive feeder, very easy to use. They have some unique designs for the bee hive.
