It seems that I've heard both ways. Does the piece of foam insulation go between the inner and outer covers or on top of the outer cover (and weighted/strapped down)?
It's my first year and I combined my two hives and I'm going into winter with one hive with 2 deeps and 1 medium. I'm planning on using the Brushy Mountain Wintering Inner cover turned deep side down and made into a candy board, leaving my screened bottom board open, and the wintering cover has a top hole for ventilation as well. Bought some foam insulation at the hardware store. They just had the 1" in a small size. Wanted to check for clarification on the best place to put the insulation for my set up.
Thanks!!!
