Flip the inner cover so the notch is down foam goes on top you might want to put some duct tape on the foam so the bees don't chew the foam by the feed hole cover on top. the foam should be thick enough so the inner cover notch can be seen. I build my covers so 1 inch of foam works for me.

I don't use that type of cover put that cover on the way it's in the picture. Does any one know if that's the right way

All those fancy things I don't use I just put together some scrap wood shims if they need extra food sugar on the top then put on the inner cover foam top cover
