I've seen it said both ways, so now I'm confused.
When you hang the queen cage (from a package) between frames you keep the screen facing out from the foundation so the bees can feed the queen ( correct?), but once you've removed the cork from that end, do you hang her with the candy plug up or down.
I've read "up" because then if her attendants die they won't block the candy exit.
I've also read down, but with no accompanying explanation as to why.
I assume that if the cage comes with a hanger that pretty much makes the decision for you, but if it comes with no hanger, which way is best?
Also, does anybody know if packages from WT Kelley come with hangers?
