Agreed that the second nuc looked a little light on bees. Not bad, but not as nice as the first nuc which looked just right. A five frame nuc should have at least four of the frames covered in bees, you got two and a half on the carnis.

Today was nice weather. It was good to see both carnis and italians out on their first day bringing in pollen. Of course there were a lot more italians out but that's because there were a lot more in the nuc. I expect them to do OK.
