A member of our bee club ordered some Queens and had one he did not need. This was posted on the club email list.
A fellow bee club member, has a new queen that he ordered and now has no need to keep her. On a first come-first-serve basis, he wants to give this queen to someone who needs it.
I knew there is only one other member with enough hives to make a split this early in our area. When I contacted him no one had replied after 2 hrs. My wife and daughter went by and picked her up and I went the other direction and made up a nuc. They are now in my Honey House with a frame feeder and confutable. It's going to get down to 29* tonight with a high of 35 tomorrow and not much better till Monday after noon. I will move them out then.
Good thig I checked most of my hives Thursday. I knew just what hives to get a frame out of with out weaking them to much.

If you feel too lucky, you can send that queen my way and will make us both feel better. :D
