I must admit :( I had some health problems that left me with no energy August through October and I fell off the wagon as far as beekeeping. I did not get a mite treatment on the hives or mouse gaurds on. I also still have two hives that have two supers on them. I have not even been on Bee Source either. Th egood news is that so far looks like my bees have taken care of themsleves and all are still ok. I will try to get some mouse guards on in the next few days and hope it is not too late. Plus try to get a mite treatment done before adding supers in the spring. I have always kept a close eye on my hives but since Sept they have been on thier own.

Anyway I have confessed my beekeeping sins and am going to get back on top of things before spring.

Happy New Year

Ruben,
The important thing is that you're better. You can always replace bugs.
The Fall flow was bad here this year so leaving the supers on your hives might have been a good thing, and some people never treat for mites at all, so maybe you can look at that as an experiment. As for the mouse guards, hope you were lucky!
I am an ordained minister and would be happy to absolve you from your sins, but I really don't see any.
Happy New Year.
