I decided to mix up a batch of slow release Oxalic Acid. This requires a lot more OA than other methods, plus you need glycerine, which I found hard to get in volume. After a fair bit of research I found Alphachem in Mississauga who carry OA in bags up to 25 kg and Glycerine/Glycerol in 20 liter pails. The OA works out to < $8/kg and the glycerine < $20 per liter. These prices are much better than my bee keeping supply places, and they have stock. Apparently if keep dry and cool these can be stored for a very long time.

They also ship but I am local so I will go and pick up.

It seems to help if you mention you are a beekeeper (I ended up with better pricing)

I also purchased OA from Alpha Chem. The glycerin, I believe from NewDirectionsAromatics.ca NewDirectionsAromatics.com is the US address. They have an amazing catalogue of every substance imaginable for soap and oils and also in large and small packaging at decent prices.
You could spend hours just looking over their catalogue.

I bought some 'Swedish Sponges' off Amazon even though they are silly expensive. I may have found a source for Spilltech absorbent pads (https://www.grainger.ca/en/product/ABSORBENT-PAD-GRAY-19-L-PK100/p/SLEGPC100S) but I haven't actually bought them yet.

I tried meat pads but they don't seem to absorb much of the stuff.
