Will a drone layer queen lay eggs in worker cells or will it strictly lay in drone cells. The reason for my question is that a new queen emerged around April 10th. I checked her hive today and saw eggs in worker cells. My concern is that when the queen emerged, there weren't that many drones and the daytime temperature were in mid 60's. So, I am not sure if the queen was able to get properly mated in April. Oh, I am in Northwest NJ.
