Very exciting day for my wife and I. Today on day 17 since emergence we just discovered we got lucky and went 3 for 3 on mated laying queens in our homemade mating castle. This was our first try and we were hoping for one, all three were fat and gorgeous. So now what? Each compartment originally had a frame of brood w/ QCs, a frame of stores and one un-drawn foundationless frame....the empty frame in all three are 1/2 to 3/4 drawn out and we have day old larvae in each chamber. Is it safe to graduate them to 5 frame nucs right away or should I let the first batch of eggs get capped?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
