Do you mean what comes in on the hind legs of one bee? I think the answer would be .125 or .0625 of a bee. My understanding is that one cell of pollen and one cell of honey are necessary to make one bee. If that's wrong, and someone knows, I am sure I will be corrected. And will be glad to know.

The general rule of thumb is a frame of honey and a frame of pollen and a frame's worth of water to raise a frames worth of bees. I guess that comes to a cell of pollen and a cell of honey and a cell's worth of water to raise one bee...

Seems like some creative person would turn that into something like "A swarm in May".

How about a haiku:

Pollen and honey
Plus water, you need all three
To make a new bee

But my personal favorite is:

Haikus are easy
But sometimes they don't make sense
Refrigerator

And now, I'll stick to my day job.
