Just wondering? I live in a country setting. Lots of wild flowers. I.E. natural pastures, lot of acres for bees in a natural setting. How many hives would be to many for my one acre back yard?

Swarms have been good this year, as I think Hambone said. Thanks, need to know some kinda of resonable #. As they say in the air traffic control," out of 15 and going to 50 (not that quick).

We run anywhere from 20 to 50 at the top end per yard. I would say start at the low end of what you have. Soon you will see your hive production level out or drop when you get above what the area can support. I find that I can get max production from 24 to 36 hives given an area like you described.

Good luck.

When the wife says "don't ya have enough?" you'll know you're getting close to "too many." I've gotta start moving some of these stronger colonies, I have 18 hives just at my house right now and have one coming from a cut out tomorrow. All I can say is "Thank God for an understanding neighbor!"
