Got some queens Saturday, did some splits, but ordered one extra in case something went wrong. How long can a queen live in a cage with attendants? PP

I asked the same question yesterday with no response yet. I would guess a3-5 days....but that is only a guess.

Depends, I've kept them for 3 weeks before using them. I made sure I provided water and after the first week I replaced the hard candy for fresh softer candy. I believe they would've lasted longer that way but I had to use them. So far on my end 3 complete weeks.

Hi Habutti,
I was under the impression the queen bee can't feed herself. Hence the required attendants.
