I have had them out for 48 hours with no problems, But it depends on the age of the pupa, and Ambient temperature.
how long can a capped queen cell be out of the hive
I have been cutting out queen cells to transplant into queenless hives. How long can they be out of the hive?

I have had them out, unintentionally, for several days, whereupon they emerged as I began handling them - intending to discard them and instead had virgins to place.
While moving one one day she emerged in my hand, awesome!!!!
