I introduced my new queen six days ago and was wondering how long you typically wait to see that she was accepted and is laying?

Thanks!

Thanks, I should have been a little clearer in my original post. I re-queened a hive that swarmed nine days ago. I checked the queen and she was in her cage, so I let her out three days later (six day's ago). Is this long enough for me to see a brood pattern without too much trouble. It's a pretty busy hive and I am a newbee so don't think I would have much luck finding her.

Thanks for all your help!

Well now that is a whole different story! Now what you want to do is look for eggs but my eyes can never see them since their so small so i usually wait 10-14 days once i know the queen is released before i go in to inspect. There is one thing for sure, You dont want to keep going to the hive all the time! Its not good for the newly introduced queen, could get her killed!
