The robber screens I use have an opening at the landing board as well as one on top. I have seen them remove dead bees through the top, but it is a struggle. Usually, healthy bees that die of old age fly away and die so in flying weather there are not a lot of dead bees for them to remove. If it becomes an issue, you can remove screen and clean the bottom board with a stick when robbing is less likely, but I have not found this to be necessary. J
