I am looking to get some bees this spring. I realize I am getting a late start on it but would like some pointers about different suppliers of bees and queens in the stater of Minnesota or Wisconsin. Thanks in advance.

Northbee, welcome to the site. The biggest bee equipment supplier in the state would be Mann Lake which is located down the road from me in hackensac MN. You can order packages of bees from them also. Google them and you'll get all the info needed. I'm assuming there may be a local bee club in/near Duluth that may be able to help you out. Our club near bemidji, orders nucs each spring from same guys for many years, and that may be an option for you also, but you'd have to drive here and pick up. Happy Hunting! PP

There is also B&B Honey Farm in Houston Minn. They have MNHg bees mostly. I have ordered equipment from them but no bees. They are for pick-up only I believe. >> http://www.bbhoneyfarms.com/index.php They are kind of far south of you though.

You could try Sheri of "JohnK and Sheri" fame from Owen, Wis. Or Dean Lapp at LApps Bee Supply, Reeseville, Wis.
