I was wondering if honey is adversely affected by keeping it in your car in hot weather. Should it be kept in a cooler, or is it OK for it to be subjected to the high temperatures when left in your vehicle in the summertime.

Thanks!

It will extract easier if warm, however the comb will soften and make a huge mess before you get it home if too warm. I would not let it get much over 100 degrees if you can help it or have a drip pan to catch the falling comb.

I'm sorry I didn't state my question clearly. The honey I was referring to was the bottles of already processed honey which we try to have on hand for those who want some. Thanks!

wrap them in some newpaper, place in a box in your trunk. No problem.
Trunks of car are cool compared to the seating area with windows.
SUV in SC, risky.

Why does it matter where it is stored in the vehicle as long as the containers won't break? I did not think the heat would adversly affect anything.??
