spring is here in NC

I have a question about honey supers

last year I ended up leaving a partially drawn out honey super above a queen excluder on all winter ( bad idea Im sure)

now its spring and upon inspection I see my deep box has a lot of activity as well as the medium super above it

should I go ahead and just leave the honey super on or remove it?
