There should be honey in your brood box. It will normally be on the outside few frames and around the edges of your brood frames. Three queen cells may be an issue though. If the bees weren't given enough room then they will backfill the brood nest (storing nectar in the empty brood cells) and create swarm cells (queen cells). Not sure why they only have a couple frames drawn in the second box unless they had already started swarm prep before the second was added.
