Here is the honey we got from the cutout. It is all capped honey. We crushed it and strained it through several layers of cheese cloth. We strained it twice to get everything the way we wanted it.
We tried to hive these bees the night before and were stung repeatedly. We just had to run for it. I came back the next morning and here is a pic of what I found. Half the bees were in the open hive, covering brood and the other half of the bees were clinging to the bottom of the SBB of the next hive over. I sprayed sugar water on them, brushed them onto a piece of plywood and dumped them onto the frames of brood to join the other bees.
