I was laying out in the sun the other day, shirt off, enjoying a bit of a siesta, when a honey bee came out of nowhere and landed square on my stomach. Bare skin. My first reaction was to swat it away, and then i thought better of it and just let it be. It hung out for a bit, perhaps enjoying a bit of sun itself, and after about a minute took off without incident.

I'm a brand new beekeeper this year, and I have never once before in the past had any venomous winged insect land on me, other than to stick me with it's stinger.

Coincidence? Maybe.
Awesome? Definitely.

I had one land on my nose in my driveway the other day. I SO BADLY wanted to swat it or shake my head vigorously to get it off of me but i didn't. I could close one eye and look at it but could not look at it with both eyes open.
