ya'll may remember when i made my first split a couple of weeks ago. new queen is laying and nuc is getting full. i plan to hive this nuc this evening.
my question is when putting them on drawn comb, do i want to let them fill each box like foundation? or just add my boxes and let them take off? i would think the queen would lay rapidly with all the room, but don't want to make it hard on them to defend from other bees. thanks

check them every ten-14 days for progress. when the bees are covering 7-8 frames, add another box. when the blackberries start blooming, watch 'em every week sos they dont get honey bound and swarm. good luck, mike
