I am a newbee here in orlando florida. I bought a bunch of used equipment and a nuc shortly after that. It's been 2 weeks now. I did tons of learning before I jumped in but there's still tons of information to try to soak up. I know there's a local club, orange blossom beek. Also looking to find any local people that can help teach the ropes of local timing and such. It's hard to find information that pertains to my exact area because all the books are just general. The queen seems to be doing wonderfull, and the girls are bringing in lots of Palm pollen/nectar. Also I uploaded a video to youtube of me installing the nuc. If you search for hopkins1422 you will see it. Please let me know what I'm doing wrong or right! Bee Insect Beehive Honeybee Membrane-winged insect

Welcome Adam! Are you registered with the state Apiary Inspection yet?
I printed the form and filled it out. I had a couple questions before I send it off though. I have no idea if the guy I bought the nuc from is registered or anything, so I have all the top information filled to but I don't know what to do with the bottom of the form. Do I sign where it says beekeeper? Also I want my wife to be registered too so can I just put both of our names or does that matter? Right now I obviously have 1 hive so I put that down but I will split to expand in the future so keep it listed as 1 and next year I will send more money if more than 5 hives? This is all the local stuff that I was talking about when I read any book it doesn't really help in that aspect. Once they get the application will they call to schedual an inspection or show up randomly as I'd like to be here since they will be able to answer questions. Thanks for the response!
Sign as beekeeper, you can put both names, inventory remains the same until the next inspection, Julie McClurg is your inspector. She will call to arrange inspection with you there. Please call me (352) 395-4635 if you have any questions or email [email protected]
