Hello from Eastern Maine. I'm just getting back into Beekeeping after about 10 years. I'm starting two hives this year, one from a package installed mid April and the second from a nuc in a couple weeks. Its great to be working with these great little creatures again.

Welcome from Western Maine. I also got back into beekeeping after being away for a long time. Lots of beekeepers in Maine and a few locals groups. I don't know if your area has one. I belong to Western Maine Beekeepers Association and they've been a good resource.

Hi Wayne, thanks for the reply, I'm actually helping to start up the Kennebec Chapter, seems to be a great group of people. How are your bees doing? Americas I know what you mean, I don't remember having to deal with Varroa when I was doing this before. Kinda makes you wonder what will come next...

I heard about the new chapter forming at the State Beekeepers meeting. Glad it's geting off the ground.

My bees are doing great this year, so far. The early spring has helped buildup.
