I have an opportunity to pick up 2200 gallons of syrup free of charge from an applesauce producer. The issue is that they were heating it and a sensor went bad and boiled it. The syrup looks more like honey now than the translucent color of HFCS. I have conflicting opinions coming at me about whether it is safe for the bees. I know that feeding molasses, and brown sugar to the bees is a "no-go" but am wondering if this is the same as feeding syrup that boiled and was discolored as a result. All advice appreciated.
