One of my week hives that made it through the winter and was recovering got robed yesterday. At dusk I watched the robbers leave, they went away, NOT to any of my hives. They came back to day to continue, but I have the hive closed up (they killed all of my bees yesterday). For the last couple of hours now I have been sucking them into my bee vac and will continue. BUT what to do with them:s:s
PS the robed hive is close to 2 other hives and I do not want those hives robed

use the "search" function at the top of the page and look for "robber screen". easy to make, and effective. close your other hives to as small an entrance as possible, ASAP. good luck, mike

Might be an interesting exercise to practice some beelining. Take some of the captured bees, put them in a box and release them one or two at a time and follow them back to their hive. Maybe you'll find a feral hive to harvest.
