Welcome from NE Kansas. This is my first year, so I've not gone through a winter yet. There are a lot of threads out here regarding wintering hives in the northern climates. I hope you find some good information and good luck to you!

Sounds like it,Just south of G.R.
I'm a newbee this year but have learned a lot off of this site. There are also a couple of some what local clubs too.

If you had one hive survive last winter,it sounds like you fared better than some. I just hope mine can survive this year.
