My name is Amy and I've been a beekeeper for 2 years. I live in northern Indiana, right by Chicago. We have cold and lots of snow in the winter, but our honeybees don't seem to mind much. We are just getting into the nectar run time of year as winter didn't really relent until late April. My boyfriend is a certified beekeeper and he is the one who got me started on beekeeping. He's a developer and I'm a marketing designer, so between the two of us we spend a lot of time in front of computers during the day and love to be outside as much as possible. Looking forward to learning more about beekeeping and getting advice too. We started with 1 hive 2 years ago and now have 5!
