I just found this site and it looks really good.
I started keeping bees when I was in junior high with my Dad and my brother. I took a break from beekeeping during college and thanks to a coworkers encouragment I started again 8 years ago. I currently run two hives to mostly supply my family with honey and sell enough to buy more bees and equipment, but am thinking about expanding.
I have started to move my management practices towards the natural side. I stopped using antibiotics 4 years ago and began replacing my brood comb with natural foundation two years ago. I have noticed a positive impact on the health of my bees and the amount of honey they produce. Last summer I harvested 530 lbs of honey from my two hives.
