I live in the Denver, CO greater metro area, and am in my third year of beekeeping. I have been running 8 frame Langs for the first 2 years, and have started 3 Warres this year. I have 9ish hives that I'm managing (I say 9 ish, because I'm experimenting with nucs, and I'm not certain about their survival yet) and hope to make good increase next year by overwintering nucs.
I also have one heck of a mean hive that's just begging to be busted into nucs, but it is also my best producer, so I'm not really sure if I want to go for nucs, or just requeen.
