I set out a bait hive with some HSC frames in it. They were accepted frames from another hive...

Has anyone attracted a swarm to HSC?

I have been using well used HSC in a few bait hives. It seems to work about the same as normal wax brood comb - few captures. But I am in an area where most of my bait hives are to recapture my own swarms since nearest other known colonies are about 4 miles away.

The advantage of HSC is less damage from wax moths.

My bees universally hate hsc and they are already sc bees.

I cannot imagine a swarm choosing to use it.

Used HSC will work fine. New HSC will repel them, not attract them...
