Given the $3,000 price tag, the hams come with DNA certificates — proving the meat comes from pigs fed on wild grasses, roots and acorns who roam freely in the fields of western Spain."

I can beat that price by almost $3000. I'll sell hams off hogs that have fed on roots, berries, acorns, snakes, garfish, dead cows and road kill for $75.00 each. Aromatic and only slightly gamy. DNA testing of hogs is probably a worthless exercise, since they're as bad as rabbits about breeding. :p
