Hello all. After watching my uncle care for a few hives from time to time and becoming intrigued with bee keeping I've decided to jump in. Found a mentor and supplies are on the way.

My kids are Juniors in high school and I'm finding myself with more free time. I truly enjoy riding my motorcycle across the country or on long trips by myself. I used to have a small powder coating business that was growing to the point of either quit my day job or give it up turning away business (day job was too good to make my own headaches). My wife is hesitant of my new hobby, but once the product starts coming in she will change her tune.

Really looking forward to get going and having a few hives. I anticipate this being a very challenging and rewarding hobby. Feels like if I had bees now I go out just to look at them!

Welcome to the love/hate relationship of beekeeping. It's definitely a challenge and in 20 years from now, you'll still be learning from them.
