Do any of you use dried grass powders in protein supplement patties? Wheat grass, barley grass, algea, alfalfa. The juice from these made into powder varies in crude protein from 30% up to 80%. Are there negative effects from "green" or chlorophyll sources? Thanx.

I've never seen bees grazing, but it might be worth checking into. What's the cost on these green protein powders?

Hey PIPER,
crude protein from 30% up to 80%.
The above protein is not going to be digestible for bees unless the have become ruminants like cattle.

Save your money on the above "stuff" and make your own or buy the product.
I am sure that there's a couple of guys that can make it for you and it's high :Dquality
Regards,
Ernie

I might need to consider that, I'll be feeding starting next month.

Now, if I could just find a bee with a rumen...
