I do not mind assembling hive equipment.
But, it really ticks me off when the lock joints are cut 3/16" off and I have to use a wood chisle to make them fit.
Is DADANT in Fresno a good source?

Their frames have been excellent for decades, no experience with their boxes.

I just got in 10 dadant supers. These are my first ones from them. Bought a few to try. I will see how well they go together. All of my others are from Browning Cut Stock. I have no complaints with their product.

I put together a bunch of deeps from Dadant and all went together well. I did have issues with frames from another source that were grooved top and bottoms bars. When I installed my plasticell foundation it fell out. The end bars were not cut deep enough for the top bar to go in all the way. I spent more time putting little shim pieces in the bottom bar grove then putting the frames together. Dadants frames didn't do that.
