"German Rotational System" for Varroa Control?

This thread mentions a "German Rotational System" in post #29; I hadn't heard of it before. Does anyone have literature that describes it or research papers that analyze its efficacy?

I've also heard of an Italian method for varroa control. I'd be interested in any literature on that one as well.

Thank you!

I think this is a referal to a group of videos about this subject, I do not have the exact URL, but I access the video by inputting "C1896 Beekeeping by annual rotation" I think this or one of their many other videos is what is being refered to here
This was discussed in a series of videos at the National Honey Show by Ralph Buchler.
