The 2014 Geneva Bee Conference will beheld March 22, 2014 from 9am-5pm on Hobart and William Smith’s Scandling Campus, in the Vandervort Room. We’ll have three speakers this year with plenty of opportunity for questions during our discussion panel hour. (See below)

We’re planning on a raffle, silent auction, door prizes, a honey swap and a dish to pass luncheon.

Conference price: $30/person, $50/couple. There is no preregistration. We gladly accept cash or a check at the door. No credit or debit cards please.

Dick’s talk will give an overview of bee health including what bees need to survive, the factors involved, colony numbers globally, and how commercial apiculture is in transition. Will also cover some basic toxicology, testing, and stewardship. Finally, will discuss the solution to bee health and an update on the Bayer Bee Care Center for North America and bee research and activities.

Katie will talk about the Bee Informed Partnership, the work the Tech-Transfer Teams do with beekeepers, how beekeepers in our local area can use the information, with an emphasis on note-taking and sampling.

Chris will talk about why natural beekeeping matters.​
