When you buy wire from the bee stores it is 28 ga. I just strung 10 frames so I can add foundation and I used 28. I bought 100 foot spools for $2.09 at the local hardware store. When I add my foundation I use a 6 volt battery to heat the wire and imbed it into the foundation. There are some good Youtube videos on doing this and I suggest the 6 volt lantern battery instead of a battery charger or 12 volt.

cool, the smallest i could find was 28 gauge.

i went with the crimper and spur imbedder.

i am making deeps with crimped comb foundation and the wire, 2 in the middle are just to keep the foundation centered.

now my problem is i have no tacks and the 3/4 inch finishing nails i have are too long and not working right.

Use fishing line.

if you want to cut out some comb with the Honey or cut out some Queen cells it is easy.:thumbsup:
