Hello. I live on a small farm and my daughter wanted a bee hive so I made the purchases and we got one going. I have many questions as a beginner but for now I need to know where to place the frame feeder. I have a Langstroth hive and I placed a deep super on top. I believe the nuc I got was a fairly strong one and they seem to have transferred well. Should the frame feeder go in the bottom hive or in the super? I have it in the bottom next to the hive wall. They seem to be taking about a gallon of 1 to 1 syrup every 4 or 5 days. Am I disturbing the colony to much or too often? Any input is appreciated as I know nothing. I do enjoy the hive and my fruit trees have more bees on the blooms than I've ever seen. Many positives to a beehive I'm finding. Thank you.
