I'd like to do comb honey, and have not done this before. All my Lang's are foundation-less and I'd like to keep commercial wax completely out of my product. Will Ross Rounds work without the wax foundation? If not, is there some sort of alternative?
You can eliminate most of the commercial foundation by using a little starter strip at the top of your RR sections. Or you can buy a foundation roller and make your own from your own cappings you get from your own foundationless frames.
I think you'll need something to get them started in the center of the round. A starter strip makes the most sense. Youc an make thin sheets of wax by dipping wet boards in your beeswax and peeling them off...
