I think Michael Bush's website has some foundation-less info.
EO, stands for essential oils, IE, HBH honey bee healthy
Spearmint oil, lemon grass oil, thyme oil, & some others are ones some beeks use.
In a nut shell dave for foundationless beekeeping:
1: Keep the hive level, especially side to side.
2: Comb guides at the top are helpfull (you can turn the wedge 90 degrees)
3: if you are changing a hive over, don't be surprised if they draw a frame of drone, move it to the 1 or 10 position (sides) and carry on.
4: comb is best drawn in the middle of the broodnest. It is starting to get late for drawing the best brood comb, they want to draw honey storage now.
However I did just have a swarm draw 5 combs of the prettiest almost perfect comb you ever seen, foundationless.
