I made up a nuc last week with a bought queen and brood plus nurse bees from another hive--if there were any foragers I guess they flew back to their own hive. I added another frame of brood over the weekend. they have plenty of honey and pollen, queen is laying, etc. is it unusual that there are still no foragers coming out of that hive at all? can they keep nurse bees from developing to foragers if they are needed in the hive? is there a specific time when I should start to (fruitlessly, I'm sure) worry?

Thanks. just to be clear, lots of the capped brood I put in has already hatched, and I will put in a bit of pollen patty for insurance. just really curious whether conditions can alter the behavior of the nurse bees to keep them in the hive longer than normal.
