I would like to let my bees draw their own foundation exclusively. When adding empty frames into the brood chamber, I have had great success.
I am adding a honey super and would like to do the same. Is it necessary that I use some sort of follower board to keep it straight, or will the bees do it automatically - like it a TBH??
Usually if there are some kind of comb guides or starter strips they will build it in the frames. Occasionally they don't. One drawn comb is nice for getting the started off right. You'll have the best luck in the brood chamber.
