When I kept bess years ago, we didn't have mites, etc. Since it was suggested that I use the sticky, screened bottom board, I have no idea what to look for! Size, little legs,? I've seen lots of photos but that doesn't give a clue as to size of mites?
Think of them as ticks. Ticks that are sized down to fit on bees. Like specs of dirt or dust. You can see them easy enough with the naked eye. Think about 1/3 the size of the dot on their backs.
