Had my first swarm of the year. They swarmed at 12:30 today 1/ 29/2010, and went into a tree about forty feet. They are about three weeks early swarming this year.

Question for those whose hives are already swarming.

When do you add your honey supers onto your hives?

I was thinking of doing it this weekend if it warmed up, but it seems pretty cool this weekend.

I'm a little north of the OP.

Checked my hives, all are good, one had 4 swarm cells, made a couple of nucs with the cells and brought them back to the house to feed, filled spaces with drawn out frames, its my biggest hive hopefully this will keep them from swarming again, this hive also had a super on it they had collected some honey, put a super on another hive going to have to watch that one for swarming cells, the rest were fine with hive body and medium setup
