I followed Michaels advice and today I went out and removed the package from inside the empty second deep. The bees had started building comb on the tophive feeder and were clustered there. I took out a couple of frames and shook as many bees as I could in to the hive and replaced the feeder. Alot of bees fell to the ground and are now clustered around the bottom of the hive and in the cinderblocks that the hive stands on. It is going to be cold tonight and it started to rain lightly. I don't feel my first package went well I hope everything goes well.
