Hey I have a question ...Friday evening I moved my bees onto my land.
When I got them I was told to open them and see if the queen is still alive after 5 days.

My dilemma is that I noticed when I placed the hive it was not really level, and I am wondering if I should go in and feed as well as reset my foundations and place my hive beetle traps after just 2 days.

Any advice will be helpful.

Thanks

so no takers on this one....the bees seem content and have a good activity level. So I will just wait and see what shall bee.

I was kinda hoping for some bit of advice.

I'd wait a week to place traps, don't want to mess them up to much the first week.

As to the level, can you level the hive without opening it? If so I would do so, what are you resetting on your frames? Feed as needed.

Hives are resting on 4x4 treated timbers.
It is closer to level, after I adjusted it.
Feeding a sugar water mix in a bowl with some twigs, seemed like the right thing to do at the time.

Thanks !!!

placeing feeders and beetle traps is not what i consider "going into them..." thats minimally invasive and can be done at any time. good luck, mike
