Grafted for the first time yesterday 15 cell cups of the jzbz variety now waiting to see if any make it to the capped queen cell stage
with any luck I should get at least 5 viable cells . the queen I grafted from has a great laying pattern she has triple mediums filled wall to wall with brood so i am hoping for the best. Johns Bees

Johns, are you going to make some nuc hive or put the new queen into a fully mature hive?
Also, is it too late to do a graft or there is still enough time until the Fall?

Beepro, The queens that come out of this graft if they make it are going into hives that need a replacement queen . here in washington you can raise queens until I would guess late august . last year we still had drones in the hive going into October. but every year is different we will have to wait and see.
