Other day I went in a hive and cut out the swarm cells but noticed 2 have gotten out. In a tree noticed a very small swarm, had to be about 50 bees not many at all. The past 2 days i would look under the hive and find a queen on the cinder block all alone. So have have found 2. Were they unable to dremove the old queen or are they waiting for the right moment to go in and get the other? This is my second year with bees and this one is strange. I will go in and check the hive in about a week to let them settle down from the chaos i caused.
thanks for any input

I would say that the small swarm was the older queen. When the virgins emerge and start fighting almost anything can happen. I would guess that the queen/queens you found under the hive were damaged from fighting or drug out of the hive by another virgin or workers.
